The self-catering units at Desert Camp are absolutely amazing! The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-designed to blend in with the natural surroundings. I felt completely at peace in this tranquil environment.
Personally, I found the fold-out sleeper couch in the twin-bedded bedroom a bit uncomfortable. However, I understand that it's meant for small children and others may not have an issue with it.

Pulizia impeccabile, stanze curate e bagno sempre pulito.

My stay at Desert Camp was absolutely amazing! The location was perfect, just a short distance from the park entrance, making it convenient for exploring the stunning dunes. The grounds were well-maintained and the chalets had a simplistic yet functional design. The air conditioning in the rooms kept me cool in the desert heat, and the shower was great. I also appreciated the decent WiFi available at the bar/pool area. The highlight of my stay was being able to order daily meat, salads, wood, and other essentials for a barbecue, which was promptly delivered. The staff were friendly and helpful, making my experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area.

The ambiance while the sun went down and the moon came up at Desert Camp was priceless. We enjoyed the breathtaking view of the mountains in the distance and the tranquility of the surroundings. Plus, being the closest Lodge to Sossusvlei was a definite bonus.
Although we occasionally had difficulty finding staff and had a disappointing breakfast experience at Sossusvlei Lodge, it only reinforced our decision to cook our own meals. We had such a great location and the peace and tranquility at Desert Camp made it all worth it.

The accommodation was absolutely stunning and the views from the room were mind-blowing! The rooms were super clean, comfortable, and provided loads of privacy. We loved the pool area, bar, and Boma for outdoor dining. The location was perfect, just a short drive from the Sossusvlei gate. Breakfast at the nearby lodge was definitely worth it. The game drive with Enos was exceptional. The starry nights were jaw-dropping. We will definitely be coming back!

I recently stayed at a rustic and charming accommodation in a stunning desert location. The self-catering setup with the option to order in marinated meat allowed for complete flexibility. The houses were clean and comfortable, equipped with aircon and a spacious bathroom. Each unit had its own driveway for easy parking and privacy. The reception staff were friendly and efficient, and there was a bar with wifi open until 10pm. The swimming pool and bar area provided a great place to relax after a day in the park. it was a tranquil and beautiful place to stay.
Would recommend this hotel.

We had an amazing Christmas at this desert camp! the location was perfect, with stunning desert views all around. the rooms were clean, comfortable, and equipped with aircon, which was a big plus in the desert heat. the camp was also conveniently close to the national park entrance, making it easy to explore the beautiful surroundings. We loved the privacy of the individual units and enjoyed the peacefulness of the desert, interrupted only by the occasional wildlife passing by.
One small downside was the lack of a broom in the room. the sand easily accumulated on the patio and it would have been helpful to have a way to sweep it away.

The al fresco terrace offers magnificent views over Elim Dune and the floodlit waterhole. I felt like I was dining with the royalty of the animal kingdom, as oryx, springbok, and even hyenas paraded by. It was like having a personal safari from the comfort of my seat.
Noisy tents when cars pass by.

During my recent stay at a camp near Sossusvlei, I was blown away by the stunning views and comfortable accommodations. The room was clean and equipped with air conditioning, providing a cozy and private space. The camp also had a nice pool area and bar, perfect for relaxation. The proximity to the Sossusvlei gate was a huge plus, allowing for convenient access to the desert. One highlight was the exceptional game drive I booked with Enos, our knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. The night sky illuminated with countless stars was truly breathtaking. I had a fantastic experience and would definitely return to this wonderful camp.

My wife and I had a fantastic stay at Desert Camp. The cabin was comfortable and well-equipped, with a self-catering kitchen and spacious bedroom. The cross-breeze kept us cool and the campfire by the bar provided a great spot to relax. We loved the budget-friendly aspect of this accommodation, with access to all the facilities at the nearby Sossusvlei Lodge. The pool, bar, and common area were all excellent, and the Amarula under the southern night sky was unforgettable. This is definitely an excellent choice for exploring the Namib region.
Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.
